Roy started with Tidal Wave in 2015 with the U/14 Boys.  Roy returned to Seacoast Tidal Wave in 2018 and is currently the Seacoast United Head Coach of the U/13 Boys. He enjoys passing on his extensive experience. In previous years, he has achieved many awards and has coached many successful players and teams. 

Roy was the Head Coach of Mt. Hope High School Varsity Girls Soccer from 2005 to 2013. During this time, he received the awards of 2007 Rhode Island Soccer Coaches Association Coach of the Year and 2007 Words Unlimited Girls Athletics Co-Coach of the Year. That same year, Mt. Hope won the Division One State Championship (defeating previously unbeaten and nationally ranked La Salle High School) under his coaching. 

He later moved on to Head Coach of Case High School Boys Varsity in 2013, Nor'easter Premier U/11 Girls in 2014, and Bayview Academy from 2014 to 2018. In 2017 Roy was an Assistant Coach for Rhode Island Rush. He also was inducted in 2015 to the Warren Athletic Hall of Fame as a Coach.
